The number one way to prevent injuries is to start good habits early. Never ever put your fingers or thumb in the path of the needle. If you start sewing fast, you can sew over your finger. If you get distracted, you can sew over your thumb.
Instead of this:
DO THIS!
Keeping those fingers and thumbs out of the path of the needle may just save you a trip to the ER!
